Subnode or controller; the PWM node is one of five subnodes on the BGM controller board.

System that provides both respiratory gating for respiration-synchronized imaging and treatment, as well as 3D real-time patient position monitoring. Respiratory gating technology correlates the tumor position with the patient’s respiratory cycle. The system verifies the planned gated treatment with fluoroscopic imaging or a gated kV radiograph, by comparing those images against those taken by an infrared tracking camera of the movement of a marker block on a patient\'s chest. Comparison of images allows verifying that the target position is within the treatment field aperture for given gating thresholds. See also Real-time Position Management.

Optional treatment couch panel consisting of an aluminum frame strung with nylon cords like a tennis racket, which is used for posterior or posterior-oblique treatments. The nylon cords are radio transparent; that is, they do not produce undesirable dose.
Industry:Medical devices
The area containing the console for the Imaging workstation for kV and MV imaging and the Treatment workstation for controlling radiation delivery. Also called the console area.
Industry:Medical devices
A dose-less practice implementation of a treatment plan or customer-selected fields within the treatment plan. Tests the plan for potential collisions and other possible problems. Moves all of the equipment through the planned movements, but does not deliver any radiation.
