Is Mitt Romney too rich to become the most powerful man in the world?
Mitt Romney, the leading Republican candidate for the 2012 US Presidential election, has a net worth of roughly 200-250 million dollars. If you were to add up the wealth of the last eight presidents, from Richard Nixon to Barack Obama, then double that number, and that is a ballpark figure close to 200-250 million. Thus if elected president, he would place somewhere among the top 4 richest Presidents ever.
Does Mitt Romney's wealth prove he is a successful business man and the right candidate to bring the US out of a recession? Or is his wealth the flagship of the US economy: the decline of the lower and middle class, and the funneling of wealth to the 1 percent?
