ergokalciferol
Vitamin D2, topiv u mastima, važan za mnoge biokemijske procese, uključujući apsorpciju i metabolizam kalcija i fosfora. In vivo, ergokalciferol nastaje djelovanjem sunčevih (ultraljubičastih) zraka na ergosterol, drugi oblik vitamina D, koji dolazi iz biljaka. Ergokalciferol je oblik vitamina D kojeg običnonalazimo u vitaminskim preparatima.
