Zoo Hypothesis
A theory that attempts to explain why humanity has not made contact with extra-terrestrial life. The theory states that advanced civilizations may have all agreed that fledgling civilizations such as ours should be allowed to reach technological and cultural maturation by themselves before they are brought into contact with other civilizations. Once we reach the required criteria, other lifeforms will make themselves known to us.
