1) Reinforcement is provided for one behavior that is incompatible with another behavior.
2) A particular ALT-R or DRA procedure designed to increase the rate of a behavior or a set of behaviors that cannot coexist with the one targeted for reduction. (E.g., reinforcing completion of work reduces those forms of disruption that are incompatible with working.)
