Plan Marshall

Un programa masivo de ayuda internacional a Europa Occidental que ascendió a 17 mil millones de dólares en cuatro años y que se inició en 1948. El programa, cuyo nombre proviene del entonces Secretario de Estado George Marshall, restableció la prosperidad económica de la región y estabilizó su sistema democrático y capitalista.
